Geotechnical & Geological Services
Our Geotechnical Engineers and Geologists will help you understand how soil, rock and ground water will affect your project. They are experienced in planning and executing subsurface soil and geologic investigations that are in compliance with building code requirements and tailored to meet the specific needs of a project. They perform investigations and provide recommendations for sites having geologic conditions ranging from soft clay-rich soil to hard bedrock, and in topographic conditions ranging from flat sites to hillside developments. In addition, they can provide evaluations with regard to geologic hazards common to many California properties including liquefaction, land sliding, flooding, sinkholes, mudflows, site drainage, and seismic issues. Our geologists also conduct detailed fault studies in fault-rupture hazard zones, which involve trenching across a site to either locate or verify the absence of active fault traces. All geologic investigations and reports are supervised and signed by an engineering geologist or civil engineer in the State of California.
